Marcy M Buckner
Senior VP for Governmental Affairs, National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (NABIP, formerly NAHU), Washington, DC

Marcy M. Buckner, J.D., is the senior vice president of government affairs with the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (NABIP). In this role, Marcy manages the association’s government affairs team, including the monitoring of activities of all state legislatures, insurance departments, and intergovernmental organizations to coordinate efforts to advance the interests of professional health insurance producers. In addition, she serves as the association’s liaison to federal agencies such as the Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Internal Revenue Service, and the Department of Treasury. Marcy is also the staff liaison to NABIP’s legislative management team, Legislative Council, and Legislative Council working groups.

Marcy received her Juris Doctor from New England School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts, and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from the College of Charleston in South Carolina.


John R Hickman
Partner, Alston & Bird LLP, Atlanta, GA

John Hickman is the leader of Alston & Bird’s Health Benefits Practice, where he leads several attorneys devoted exclusively to health care reform issues under the Affordable Care Act, HIPAA privacy, health savings accounts (HSAs), and consumer-directed health care, flexible benefit plans, and related health benefit issues. John has worked closely with health plans, financial institutions, and employers, as well as the IRS, Treasury, and Department of Labor, in addressing health benefit issues.

John has been inducted into the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America© and Who’s Who Legal. The Best Lawyers in America named him a 2016 “Lawyer of the Year” in the area of Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law, and Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business has recognized him as Band 1 in Georgia for Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation. John has lectured widely and published articles on health care reform, ERISA, and cafeteria plan issues. He is co-author of the following health benefit treatises: EBIA Cafeteria Plans, EBIA HIPAA Portability, Privacy & Security, and EBIA Consumer-Driven Health Care (all published by Thomson Reuters). John is head of the Technical Advisory Committee and is on the board of the Employers Council on Flexible Compensation (ECFC). John was also an adjunct professor of law at Emory University School of Law.



Colleen Boyle

Director, Healthcare Business Development, Mastercard

Colleen is a Director with Mastercard Healthcare. In this role, she manages Mastercard’s relationships with issuers, TPAS, and technology providers in the consumer healthcare payments space. She also oversees providers and payers who utilize Mastercard’s analytics, payment integrity, and security tools. Prior to Mastercard, Colleen worked in advisory services roles at UnitedHealth Group and Epic Systems.



Steve Jackson

Sr. Vice President of Sales, Health-E Commerce

Steve leads the Sales team at Health-E Commerce and brings over 20 years of experience in the TPA space. He launched pre-tax account administration services with PrimePay and held various leadership roles in operations and business development. At PrimePay, Steve created their largest referring channel through benefits broker partnerships. Steve is an avid speaker and expert in pre-tax account benefit plans.


Mike Heimdal

Director of Sales and Partnerships, Health-E Commerce

Michael leads a team of account managers and serves as an internal champion for our partners. Most recently he was VP of Sales for a corporate gifting company, where he developed the sales infrastructure and engineered a go-to-market strategy for new product/service line offerings. Prior to this, he led new patient acquisition for 5 destination hospitals with Cancer Treatment Centers of America. In addition, he also represented them in their partnership with the National Football League Alumni Association and National Basketball Retired Players Association.



Jessica Menchise

Account Manager, Health-E Commerce

Jessica has over 10 years of experience in healthcare, and a deep understanding of the relationship between health systems, providers, payers, and pharmacies. Prior to joining Health-E Commerce she worked at Capsule as a Partnerships manager.


Andrew Kerr

Chief Executive Officer, FortyAU, Nashville, TN

Andrew Kerr is a technology executive with 10+ years of diverse experience leading teams, delivering solutions, and helping individuals and organizations to grow and thrive. Possessing a strong passion for leadership development, he annually teaches dozens of classes on diverse topics including change management, managing up, and the power of humility for leaders. His first book, The Humility Imperative: Why the Humble Leader Wins in an Age of Ego, was released in 2017 and led him to be featured on numerous podcasts, blogs, and as a featured speaker across the country for companies including Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), Cisco, Yahoo Finance, and ScottMadden Consulting.


Kerr is currently the CEO of FortyAU software consulting, where he leads an agile team of developers to deliver custom software solutions for clients in the healthcare, finance, higher education, sports and entertainment industries.
